In case anyone has been wondering how I manage to stay occupied, here is the recipient of most of my free time. Its a 40’ Ocean Alexander Trunk Cabin Trawler. Have had it out as far as the farallon islands and it did very well even when it started to get a little rough in the afternoon. It runs a Single Screw Perkins 6-354 marine diesel which consumes about 2.7gph at an 8 knot cruise. For a large boat, that’s as fuel efficient as they get.
